Second Chances

“Second chances doesn’t always mean a happy ending.  Sometimes, it’s just another shot to end things better.”

I’ve had some very hard times in my life.  Poor judgement and decisions in the past has caused the need for apologies from me to those I have offended.  My apologies have always been accepted where the other party and I came to a happy medium.  Recently I reached out to the last person on my list.  I always save the most important for the last because they tend to be the most difficult and mean the most to me. This person and I are not the best of friends but we do talk often enough.  The road was bumpy and pretty rough at first and I was ready to walk away but they’ve made attempts to at least have an cordial relationship.  It is important to do your best to be peaceful with everyone, even those that you’ve had difficulties with in your life.  If this isn’t possible then wish them well and go your way.  You are not required to have someone in your life that only brings about strife.  Hebrews 12:14 KJV “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.”

If you’re given an opportunity to clear the air and mend or end a relationship, take full advantage of the opportunity and do the right thing.  You will feel so much better for doing so.  I feel great because I know I have endeavored to do the right thing. I did do the right thing!  I got a second chance and I used it to do the right thing.  Romans 14:19 KJV “Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.”
