I Said Yes to God

I am a huge Procrastinator.  I love putting things off that I feel I won’t enjoy doing or have fear and apprehension in completing.  This is a terrible habit.  It’s a terrible habit because there really isn’t any peace in procrastination but simply delaying what is inevitable.  Whether taking care of business, personal or household chores it’s best to know what you have to do and just do it.  As I write this article I am currently guilty of procrastinating.  I can name at least 2-3 things that I need to get done and have been putting off daily.  I can always make an excuse in my head of why it won’t matter if I delay doing what must be done for one more day.  Thing is when you finally get around to actually doing the inevitable, you find that it really wasn’t so bad after all.  You also feel relieved because that’s a task that complete.  It’s completed and the pressure of delaying it has been taken off your shoulders.

I Said Yes to God

I have delayed for years what I believe and know God wanted me to do.  He simply wanted me to say yes, yes to His Will for my life.  All I wanted to do was what I wanted to do and I wanted God to Bless me and make me successful in doing it.  I know, the nerve!  Today I’m in YES mode.  I’ve said Yes to God.  I’m in the process of doing what God wants me to do.  I wait and listen for Him to direct me daily.  When I decided to say Yes in more than words but deeds as well, things went so smoothly.  The transition was smooth and I feel encouraged and just a bit excited to see what God has in store for my future.  I have faith in God and I’m asking Him to forgive me and remove any unbelief or fear that may be lingering. Hebrews 11:1 KJV “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”  I’m not perfect by any means.  I’m Praying that my Trust in God will grow continually every single day.  Proverbs 3:5-6 KJVTrust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
