Applying Filters in My Everyday Life

There are times in our lives when we have some control over what we’re exposed to.  Those times I apply filters.  On my Android Phone I use a 3rd Party Twitter Application called Fenix.  Fenix gives me the ability to apply filters, so I can control what I see in my timeline.  I use keywords to filter out content I don’t want to see.  My filters are profane words, Trump, Applications etc.  I’m sure you get the picture.  This makes for a very pleasant experience in my Twitter World and I like that.

I also use my Phone to filter out people.  My Samsung Note 3 allows me to put contact names in a block list and their calls go straight to voicemail.  I can also do the same with text messages.  This restricts people that I no longer want frequent or any contact with in my everyday life.  Having some form of control and actually utilizing it to ease the stress in my life is pretty awesome.

I was allowing myself to become stressed with the current political situation going on right now.  I realized it was becoming overwhelming so I stopped watching CNN and other News Channels every morning.  This has made me feel a whole lot better by making a simple choice.  I have no personal control over politics.  I pray and God’s will be done!  1 Timothy 2:2 KJV, I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

This is just a short article with examples of how filters can be used to help eliminate unnecessary stress and discomfort in our lives.  What you can control by all means do so.  Life will be that much better when you do what you can!
