Bible Study Corner, What is Salvation?

In Theology Salvation can be defined as deliverance from sin and its consequences, believed by Christians to be brought about by faith in Christ.

We are saved from God’s judgement of our sin because our sin has separated us from God, and the consequence of sin is death.  Romans 5:9; 1 Thessalonians 5:9Romans 6:23

God saves us because He loves us.  Only God can remove sin and deliver us from the penalty of sin.  2 Timothy 1:9; Titus 3:5

There is deliverance, by the grace of God, for punishment of our sin.  Deliverance is given to those who accept God’s conditions of repentance.  Having faith in the God and the Lord Jesus Christ is important. Salvation is available in Jesus and is dependent on God who has made provisions for us through His son Jesus, the Christ.  John 14:6; Acts 4:12
