Sometimes in life we are hit with big disappointments, unexpected disappointments. The power of disappointments can knock you back a few steps. Sometime the blow is so powerful, it knocks you off of your feet. The best thing you can do is get up and get up quickly.
Go ahead and cry. Let yourself grieve over the unexpected and the loss. Cry, cry and cry some more if necessary. Then wipe your eyes and regroup. Encourage yourself. Push forward. God is still there and He’s got you. He is there for you. Psalms 33:20 KJV, Our soul waiteth for the Lord: he is our help and our shield.
Lord knows I still feel disappointments deeply. I’ve got a long way to go but I’m not giving up. I have to stay focused because I’m a very emotional person, I can get caught up in raw emotion and that’s rarely a good thing. Psalms 46:1 KJv, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Life goes on and there will be more disappointments but I know that God loves me and will keep me. Psalms 119:116 KJV, Uphold me according unto thy word, that I may live: and let me not be ashamed of my hope.
Psalms 39:7 KJV, And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope is in thee.
